Come See For Yourself!

"New Jersey- Come See For Yourself" is our new slogan.

It's not so bad. It kind of reflects what most residents of Our Fair State feel- that we have something of a bad rep, but if you live here you know what's good, and why we love Jersey. Check it out.

It's also a bit defensive. "Ya made up your mind about NJ without even visiting? Ya should come see for yourself, ya bozo!" We're nothing if not defensive about Jersey.

So, come see for yourself.

Eh, I suppose it could be worse, but given the final five choices, it was probably the best... not that that says much. I think it should have been something with a little more reflective of society, like "Fuggetaboudit" or "Whaddya you lookin' at"? I just hope most people deciding to come see for themselves end up in the middle of Woodbridge at the Chevron refinery or anywhere on Route 1.

New Jersey's new slogan has about as much meaning and imagination as Monmouth University's: "Where leaders look forward."

Check it out at:

Pixel for pixel, one of the greatest concentrations of cliches on the web.

Come see for yourself...

how corrupt our government is

how we screw the smokers

how high our taxes really can go.

how much we can spend on a motto
