Violets are blue

One more casualty of global warming: our State Flower, the blue meadow violet, may disappear by the end of the century. Many wild flowers will be endangered; 17 other state flowers are threatened, according to a report by the National Wildlife Federation.

I think that's the weed Mrs DBK and I have been trying to irradicate from our lawn. It doesn't seem to be in any danger in my yard.

Did you know you can candy violets? They make a beautiful cover for a pristine white cake.

I think when you put candy and Violet together, she blows up like a blueberry and the Oompa-Loompas have to juice her back down to size.
