It's official

Big changes afoot.

I was accepted to grad school. I start working on my Master's in Library and Information Science this fall.

After I took the GREs, one of my kids said to me, "Yay! Now you won't have to spend so much time studying!" Unfortunately, that respite was only temporary; now the real studying begins. (In the fall, anyway.)

Congratulations again! (This comes as no surprise whatsoever, though. You were a shoo-in!)

Congrats!! Sleep now (and read for pleasure, and watch TV, and generally enjoy life) while you still can. :-)

Seriously, I'm so happy for and proud of you.

I did grad school but my experience was a joke compared to some of the hoops grad students have to jump through. For instance, I didn't have to take the GRE's. It's one of the reasons I chose the school I did. Good luck!:)

Thanks folks. It's going to be interesting, to say the least!

Congratulations! I'm currently working on credits 22-27 of my 36-credit MLIS at (for values of "at" that encompass distance learning) FSU, so I can tell you it'll be mostly interesting. I assume you'll be at Rutgers? In any case, I'd be glad to share whatever experience I have.

If you prefer, I will apologize most humbly for disturbing you, go away, and darken your door no more.

You're right, it's Rutgers. The program is solid and well-regarded, and it's local- two very important factors in selecting a school.
