Exploding waves

Beachgoers at Surf City shouldn't worry about being blown up any more. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed their clean-up, removing all the WW I era munitions that were dumped with dredged sand on the beach. Over 1,000 pieces were found.

Hi! Got any readers addicted to garage sales, or interest in helping homeless animals?

14th Annual Friends of Sleepy Hollow (FOSH) garage sale -- over 100 homes -- plus Van Wyck Brooks Historic District garage sale and a multi-yard sale whose proceeds will support homeless pets.

And a walking tour of the Victorian mansions in the VWB district and a concert at famed Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church...

check out my roundup post...
